OXFORD PHYSICAL THERAPY:
Oxford Physical Therapists will be on site at Optimist on Wednesdays and also at Applecreek on Mondays and Thursdays during the fall season to assist FOSC players.

RHODIS NAMED U.S. NATIONAL COACH

FOSC ACADEMY OPENINGS FOR FALL
There are still openings for both boys and girls in the Academy by FOSC. The Academy by FOSC is an instructional program for all players ages 5- 7. For more information contact Academy Coordinator: Brian Scowden and check out the Academy page on this website.
MULTI-PLAYER DISCOUNT
This spring, FOSC will again offer a multi-player rebate to families with three or more children (U-10 and above) playing for FOSC this fall season. The multi-player rebate form is available in the "FORMS" section of this site.

|  | | FOSC's Wilkerson signs for Lee Lady Flames FOSC's own Brittany Wilkerson has signed to play for the NAIA National Champion Lee Lady Flames in early Feb.
The Lady Flames have won the he national championship the past two years and went 21-2-1 last season. Lee coach Matt Yelton is excited about the 2010 recruiting class including Wilkerson who played midfield / attacker for her FOSC premier team.
Brittney is pictured with her parents Michael and Marcee Wilkerson, her sister Brooke and Warren County Firehawks coach Roger Goforth. |  | | FOSC's Curry and Ottaway sign for WKU ! Kiersten Ottaway and Andrea Curry, both from FOSC Premier, have signed to play for Western Kentucky University.
Ottaway, a strong midfielder involved with Ohio's ODP program, played alongside Curry who was captain and leading scorer during her time with FOSC Premier. |  | | PUMA IT IS !!! After lengthy negotiations with several uniform suppliers FOSC has chosen PUMA as the official supplier of uniforms for the club beginning with the Spring ’10 season. FOSC will be distinctly outfitted as we will be the only PUMA club in greater Cincinnati. After surveying several of our current FOSC players the PUMA Lyon was chosen as the uniform FOSC teams will wear for the next three years. Pictured are Morgan Langhammer, Jordan McGuire, and Taylor Darks modeling the new home and away jerseys and the optional long sleeve jersey. . More details on ordering, when your team needs to be in the PUMA Lyon, etc will be announced soon. |  | | FOSC INKS DEAL WITH OXFORD PHYSICAL THERAPY CENTERS FOSC has inked a deal with Oxford Physical Therapy Centers to be the official orthopedic care provider for the club. OPTC will provide medical support on site at our Applecreek practice facility throughout the fall season as well as serve as a local sounding board for any medical questions, injury screenings, and physical therapy and rehabilitation needs. "We are so excited to partner with the Fairfield Optimist Soccer Club and be able to help these young athletes and their families," Ken Rusche, OPTC Owner, said of the new relationship with FOSC. |  | | RHODIS NAMED TO TOP U.S. POSITION 6/11/09 - The United States National Arena Soccer Team (USNAST) announced today the appointment of FOSC Director of Coaching Craig Rhodis as its new Head Coach. Rhodis replaces Bernie Lilavois, the original coach of the USNAST. Rhodis' selection was not a difficult one. Rhodis led 1790 Cincinnati to a league-best 13-3 record and won the PASL-Pro Coach of the Year Award before 1790 fell to the Stockton Cougars in the finals of the North American Championships.
Rhodis, who will turn 36 later this month, has played with the Cincinnati Silverbacks (NPSL), Cincinnati Cheetahs (USL), Cincinnati Riverhawks (A League), Lafayette Swampcats (EISL), and was a player/coach with the Lafayette Lightning (USL). Craig also played with the Portland Pythons and Utah Freezz (WISL). Recently, Craig served as a player/coach for the Cincinnati Excite (AISL) for two years.
He will begin his second season as 1790 coach in October. Rhodis is formulating a USNAST roster for the next international event, which will20be announced in the near future.
"Now that we have a full PASL-Pro season to look back on," said Rhodis, "I want to build the team with a squad of deserving players who love the game and have the enthusiasm to represent the league and their country."

The Academy Q and A can be found in the Academy section under "ACADEMY FAQ". |  | | FOSC FINISHES STRONG IN CUSL During the spring soccer season the teams from FOSC proved to be a force to reckon with as they captured 1st or 2nd place in 13 CUSL divisions. FOSC teams finished with 3 CUSL championships in Division 1 play! Only CSA finished with more Division 1 titles(4). Only 3 clubs finished with more first or second place finishes then FOSC's total of 13. These are the "Golden Rules" of our sport and adhering to them will make for much more enjoyable experience for all!
Fair-Play Code
The FIFA Fair Play Code for football encapsulates all of the sporting, moral and ethical principles for which FIFA has always stood and for which it will continue to fight in the future, regardless of the influences and pressures that may be brought to bear.
The ten golden rules not only serve as a credo for FIFA as world football's governing body, but they also reinforce the sense of fraternity and cooperation among the members of the worldwide football family.
1. Play fair
Winning is without value if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly.
2. Play to win but accept defeat with dignity.
Winning is the object of playing any game. Never set out to lose. If you do not play to win, you are cheating your opponents, deceiving those who are watching, and also fooling yourself.
3. Observe the Laws of the Game
All games need rules to guide them. Without rules, there would be chaos. The rules of football are simple and easy to learn. Make sure you learn them; it will help you to understand the game better.
4. Respect opponents, team-mates, referees, officials and spectators
Fair Play means respect. Respect is part of our game. Without opponents there can be no game. Everyone has the same rights, including the right to be respected.
5. Promote the interests of football
Football is the world's greatest game, but it always needs everybody's help to maintain its greatness. Think of football's interests before your own. Think how your actions may affect the image of the game. Talk about the positive things in the game. Encourage other people to watch and play fairly. Help others to have as much fun from football as you do. Be an ambassador for the game.
6. Honor those who defend football's good reputation.
The good name of football has survived because the vast majority of people who love the game are honest and fair.
7. Reject corruption, drugs, racism, violence, gambling and other dangers to our sport.
8. Help others to resist corrupting pressures.
You may hear that team-mates or other people you know are being tempted to cheat in some way or otherwise engage in behavior deemed unacceptable. They need your help. Do not hesitate to stand by them. Give them the strength to resist. Remind them of their commitment to their team-mates and to the game itself. Form a block of solidarity, like a solid defence on the field of play.
9. Denounce those who attempt to discredit our sport.
Do not be ashamed to stand up to anybody who you are sure is trying to make others cheat or engage in other unacceptable behavior.
10. Use football to make a better world.
Football has an incredible power, which can be used to make this world a better place in which everyone can live.
